SingaPop!
60 Years of Singapore Pop Culture
SingaPop! is an immersive multimedia exhibition celebrating 60 years of Singapore’s pop culture.
Curated by cultural icon Dick Lee, it tells the story of how a diverse group of immigrants created something truly special — a culture that is distinctly Singaporean.
Since independence in 1965, Singapore has grown into a multicultural society made up of Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian, and other communities.
Through five chapters, the exhibition explores how these influences have blended into a shared identity — rich in heritage, creativity, and the unmistakable rojak spirit: an embrace of differences that creates something uniquely ours.
SingaPop! brings to life the evolution of everyday culture — from hawker centres to music, film, fashion, Singlish, and the National Day Parade.
What began humbly now represents us on the global stage.
More than just a celebration, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what makes Singapore unique.
The answer is simple: the people, stories, and traditions that continue to shape the place we call home.
